Blakes has long supported the Barbra Schlifer Commemorative Clinic for its leadership in providing essential services to survivors of gender-based violence. The clinic was established in memory of Barbra Schlifer, who was sexually assaulted and murdered on the day of her call to the bar. Since that time, it has served over 100,000 survivors through legal help, counselling and support, legal reform and programs.
We all have a responsibility to help build communities where everyone enjoys the right to safety, dignity and equality. Blakes is proud to support the Spirit of Schlifer Campaign, which raises awareness and financial resources the clinic needs to continue its essential work addressing gender-based violence through justice, healing and change. Rising Demand For Services:
As more survivors of gender-based violence come to us for help, the demand for our services has grown exponentially. Our greatest challenge is meeting the rising demand for service while maintaining the quality of our programs and services. Financial contributions to The Spirit of Schlifer Campaign are crucial in helping us maintain and expand our capacity while continuing to provide these essential services to women and gender-diverse individuals across our community.
Sustainability:
The need for our services continues to grow. All funds raised from the Campaign will directly support the services and programs that have been lifelines for thousands of survivors. With your help, we can ensure these critical services remain accessible, responsive, and sustainable.
